Smoke billows from graves of brick.

Where are the parents?

Who taught these children?

Mayhem spreads like a virus.

It’s not lack of religion.
Nor ignorance.
They know what they’re doing.

Camden was on lockdown,
London, Liverpool,
Birmingham, Bristol.

Yet I can’t give up on a whole generation,
While just one child has a heart.

I’ve seen generosity in strangers,
Human kindness does exist.
Faith remains even in rubble.

When the fires die down,
And the streets are clear.

Hope will be waiting for us.

Always there but not always visible.

Just like love and hate and fear…

  1. Neat blog! Is your theme custom made or did you download it from somewhere?
A design like yours with a few simple tweeks would really make my blog stand
out. Please let me know where you got your design.
    Kudos
