Another great prompt from Velvet Verbosity. The word is FEASTING
The Scavenger’s Game
I weave a tale of madness from the edge of my doorstep. He wants a story, he wants a tale about kings feasting and princes roving. He wants a tale of debauchery for the newspaper. He doesn’t want the ruth; he would change it anyway, because the truth about them is dull. He pretends to be a friend, flashing a nice smile and wearing all the right body language to make himself seem friendly. I tell him the lies he wants to hear but I’m smiling to myself. His feast of scandal will be short and will hurt him greatly.

Sad that scandal always sells better than the truth.
It is sad. Sadder still that many still believe everything they read in newspapers or hear as gossip.
To paparazzi and tabloid reporters, the truth is irrelevant.
Too true.
they say “the truth is out there” but it would seem nobody is looking.
I’m still looking. X-files fan?
