The word this week is ‘Eyes’
My eyes show me the world,
The patterns in the distance.
I can see into the future,
A complex maze of choices.
I can see the past so clearly
Full of bright colours and loud noises
I can see emotions in strangers faces,
Their thoughts and motivations,
Choosing a course to follow
That I can never see.
I never match society.
I never fit its goals and aims.
I never meet their standards.
I never want for their gains.
I’m motivated by intuition.
I use my sight for good.
So I will never fit into society
Even if I could.
I think there are times we all can relate to the thoughts and feelings expressed in this piece. Or maybe it’s just me. I love eyes. They tell us so much.
Thanks. I feel the same about eyes.
If only we could all look for the good in the world.
If only we could. I see a lot of hate online recently. Shame that people can’t see past their differences.
It’s been frightening to see how much vitriol is being spewed.
I think the ‘Us vs Them’ rhetoric is very dangerous because it separates people into simple opposing camps, when in fact it’s often much more complicated than that.
