Jupiter’s Storm

This week’s word is ‘Storm’ from Thinspiralnotebook . I added an extra line which takes me six words over but I felt that the poem wasn’t finished without it.

There’s a storm inside my head.
The thunder groans,
Lightning clashes,
It flashes…
A bright and frightening flame.

On the outside no one knows,
Inside it grows.
So so loud.
Deafening you out.
It rages…
It paces…
Jupiter’s eternal storm.
Ever just the norm.

There’s a storm inside my head.
Every time I go to bed.
The pillow hits my head.
But I cannot sleep,
Cannot rest.
My imagination at unrest.
And so I write instead.

Another word, another verse.
Another line of prose.
Another scene, another guest
Inside my busy head.
Through worlds I head.
Sometimes leading, sometimes lead.
By the storm inside my head.
